The Stars of Bansko Film Fest 2024
This year’s lineup features some of the biggest names in adventure sports: Andrzej Bargiel (Poland): The legendary ski mountaineer who made history by skiing down all the eight-thousanders of Karakoram. In 2018, he accomplished the near-impossible, skiing down K2 without removing his skis or using supplemental oxygen. Adam Bielecki (Poland): Polish high altitute alpinist and member of the mountaineering national team. In 2012, he achieved the first winter climb of Gasherbum at 8,068 meters, earning the “Kolosy” award and the “National Geographic Traveler” award.
Beat Kammerlander (Austria): The extreme climbing legend will take the stage on November 23.
Alex Bellini (Italy): Adventurer, traveler, and renowned adventure filmmaker.
Peter Moser(Italy): A speed-climbing expert and mountain guide with extraordinary stories to share.
Andrej Štremfelj (Slovenia): A two-time Piolet d'Or winner, reflecting on his dizzying mountaineering career on November 22.
Among the Bulgarian guests, you’ll see Doychin Boyanov, Kancho Dolapchiev, Nikola Kalistrin, Stefan Ivanov, Ani Gateva, Miroslav Petrov and many others. The festival culminates on Saturday night with Nikolay Petkov, the awards ceremony for the best films, and a final party to wrap up the adventure in style!
