The exclusive Kempinski gourmet journey reached its final destination in Bansko on October 28th, where the guest chefs from Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz and the team of chef Nikola Todorov created culinary magic. The open kitchen of Come Prima restaurant at the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko was the stage of an incredible presentation of a seven-course menu, composed of first-class products according to specially selected recipes and combined with premium French and Italian wines, highlighting and complementing the taste of each dish for a unique gourmet experience.
The exclusive menu started with exquisite canapés - marinated salmon with jalapeño and yuzu espuma, venison tartare with mushrooms and cranberries and roasted celeriac with truffle and hazelnuts.
Part of the culinary magic was an amuse bouche of langoustines with pumpkin, apples, lemon and crispy caramel. The starter, prepared by master chef Jonas Starkowski from St. Moritz, was spinach and artichoke ricotta ravioli. Fish lovers enjoyed salmon trout with sturgeon roe, Piedmont celeriac and a citrus beurre blanc sauce. The main course was a specialty of Chef Nikola Todorov - rabbit ballotin, foie gras, pancetta, rabbit liver parfait, carrot emulsion and potato confit.
Before dessert was served, guests tasted refreshing banana ice cream with natural chocolate, white truffle and pine honey. The sweet finale to the dinner was an irresistible combination of pumpkin and passion fruit with white chocolate mousse, crunchy pistachio and salted pistachio ice cream.
The attendees were also pleasantly surprised by the first-class wines and champagnes that went well with each dish, including the world-famous Nicolas Feuillatte champagne and the French rosé Rock Angel Cote de Provence.
The Kempinski Gourmet Tour started on September 8th at the Cà d'Oro restaurant at Grand Hotel Des Bains Kempinski in the famous winter sports resort of St. Moritz with the special appearance of Chef Nikola Todorov as a guest chef and ended in a stunning way at the Come Prima restaurant at the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena Bansko.
On November 18th, 2023 Come Prima restaurant will host a new tempting dinner dedicated to the cuisine of Italian cinema.
