More than 40 journalists from 32 media tested their strength in giant slalom (GS) on track nr. 8 at “Shiligarnika" in Bansko Ski Area. The race was organized by the hosts from Ulen.

Before the start of the competition skiing and snowboarding the participants had the opportunity to practice on the perfect slopes throughout Bulgaria’s Best Ski Resort. The race director Mr. Georgi Glavchev had arranged a masterful combination of turns - a true challenge for all media athletes.

The prize winners in all 7 categories (in skiing and snowboarding) received their medals personally from the president of the Bulgarian ski federation Mr. Tseko Minev, who watched the competition live together with his deputy Mr. Georgi Bobev and the actor Mr. Toncho Tokmakchiev.

The best three in each category also received awards from the leading chain of sports stores "Maxsport" and from the hosts from Ulen. 

The journalists' ski club presented a thank-you plaque to the hosts for the great organization of the championship for another year. In the 57th edition, journalists from Slovakia and Israel took part, and next year colleagues from the Balkan countries are expected to start in the championship in Bansko. As a finale, after the race, the journalists talked about their performance in the giant slalom in an informal atmosphere at a stylish cocktail.
