The most titled Bulgarian skier Maria Kirkova recorded a golden double in the Pamporovo Cup. She and her teammates from Ulen ski team took 7 trophies home in the first three races since the start of the season. The team stepped on the podium with 8 second and 1 third places as well.
The Ulen ski team is dominating the second race of the FIS schedule in Bulgaria as well. In the first race of the season, Ulen Cup, the team won 4 out of 4 possible trophies. In Pamporovo Bulgaria's best ski club took 3 out of 4 awards and got two 2nd and one 3rd place.
32-year-old Maria Kirkova made a golden double on the famous run "Stenata" (The Wall). Bulgaria's best skier won the giant slalom with a total time of 2:04,89 min, leaving behind her younger teammate Gergana Zadneprovska (2:06,77) and Bosnian Elvenina Muzaferia (2:08,11). 24 hours later Maria triumphed in the slalom for the third time this winter with 1:52.63 min. Gergana Zadneprovska skied on the second position in the Rhodopes. Eva Vukadinova from “Borovets” (1:56,06) took the third place.
In the men's giant slalom Yoan Todorov smashed the competition with a total time of 2:02,31 min in both runs. The 20-year-old national team member left behind Raso Jevremovic from Serbia (2:03.55) and Ioannis Proios from Greece (2:05.88). In the slalom, Todorov finished third. After the race in Pamporovo, he and Zadneprovska took second positions in the slalom for Borovets Cup in the mountains of Rila.
