Bansko Ski Area opens sooner as planned - on December 6th

The perfect snow fall in recent days allows the winter season in Bansko to start this year earlier as planned. The Ski Area will open this Friday, December 6th, 2024! All slopes will be open except Chalin Valog and the Ski road to Bansko. They are groomed and in excellent condition.

The official launch of the winter season in Bansko will take place on December 14th. Guest star will be the Austrian legend in alpine skiing Michael Walchhofer. He is World Champion in downhill for 2003, he has a total of four medals from world championships and one silver medal from the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. He has 49 podiums in World Cup races, including 19 victories, 14 of which in downhill. For Walchhofer this will be the second opening of the season in Bansko after 2011. 
Another guest at the opening ceremony in Bansko will be the five-time winner of the Great Crystal Globe Marc Girardelli. The two ski legends will face each other in the game “Get in the Team of the Champ", which guarantees attractive prizes for registered skiers. The other game, which will be held on December 14th is "Treasure Hunters".
Guests at Banderishka Polyana will also be able to enjoy a concert by Dara.
