The Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics Beijing 2022 begins cooperation with Bansko Ski Resort. The decision came after a delegation led by Zhang Jiandong, Executive Vice-President of the Committee and Vice Mayor of Beijing, visited Bansko on November 10, 2017.

The delegation visited Bulgaria’s leading mountain resort for experience exchange with local professionals. The guests visited the facilities in the ski area and became acquainted with Bansko's experience as a host of professional world-class sports competitions.

The mayor of Bansko Mr. Georgi Ikonomov, the Bulgarian Ski Federation and Ulen proposed to share experience with the asian experts. As a result of the meeting chinese specialists will visit Bansko during the upcoming winter season and get acquainted with the work in the ski area. Besides this Ulen's employees, as well as experts from other winter resorts in Bulgaria, will assist the preparation of the ski runs during the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.
